The total abstract word limit is 300 words.
Due to the abstract submission system’s structure, some abstracts may exceed this. If the excess is significant, reviewers are encouraged to deduct points under the "Scientific Quality" criterion.

Young Investigator Mentor-Mentee Program Application Guide:

Eligibility, Submission, and Selection

The Young Investigator Mentor-Mentee Program welcomes applications from emerging professionals who are passionate about occupational hygiene and eager to contribute to the international dialogue. Below are the eligibility criteria, application process, and review and selection criteria.

Eligibility Criteria for Mentee Applicants

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Young Investigator Mentor-Mentee Program:

Professional background

Currently enrolled Master’s or Doctoral students in fields related to occupational hygiene, occupational health, occupational safety and health, or a related discipline.
OR early-career professionals (e.g., junior occupational hygienists) with less than 5 years of experience in the field since their terminal degree (Masters or Doctorate).

Conference participation

Must submit an abstract for the upcoming conference.
Must indicate interest in the Young Investigator Mentor-Mentee Program during the abstract submission process by selecting the appropriate checkbox.
Note: The topic of your abstract does NOT need to match the session you are assigned to as a mentee.

Commitment to participation

Willingness to actively participate in pre-session preparation, attend the assigned concurrent session, and collaborate with the mentor and fellow mentees.
Commitment to assist mentor and submit the session report by September 5, 2025.

Language proficiency

Sufficient English proficiency to engage in professional discussions and prepare a written session summary.

Submission Process

To apply for the Mentor-Mentee Program, applicants must:

Submit an abstract

All mentee applicants must submit an abstract to the conference via submission system before May 31, 2025.
During the submission process, indicate your interest in the Young Investigator Mentor-Mentee Program.

Complete the mentee application form

In addition to the abstract submission, applicants are required to fill out a brief application form (maximum 250 words), which includes:

A short statement of interest describing your motivation to join the program
Your area(s) of interest related to occupational hygiene
Your current academic or professional status
For students and recent graduates: Please include your expected or actual graduation year, the name of your university, and the name of your academic advisor or supervisor.

This information will help us better understand your background and match you with a suitable mentor.

Review and Selection

Applicants will be reviewed based on eligibility, motivation, and alignment with available mentors and session topics. Selected mentees will be notified by June 16, 2025.

Selected mentees must confirm their participation within the specified deadline and follow all instructions provided by the organizers to secure their place in the program.

Each mentee will be matched with one mentor and assigned to one of the six concurrent sessions by the Scientific Committee.

Mentees are required to attend their assigned session as a condition for receiving the full waiver of the registration fee, which includes access to the gala dinner.
